What We Believe

BMVI’s patients are your neighbors. You see them every day, working essential jobs in our community.

These hardworking residents of Bergen County work, but don’t earn enough money to be able to afford healthcare.

Patient Story

Martha: Heart Disease

Martha is a 75-year-old being treated for diabetes, hypertension, thyroid and heart disease.

Prior to becoming a BVMI patient in 2015 she did not have health insurance and her health issues generally went without proper care. In a five-year period Martha was hospitalized several times for cardiac and pulmonary episodes.
